September 28th-30th 2026 - Madrid, Spain

The Organizing Committee cordially invites you to participate in the 6th International Symposium on Catalysis for Clean Energy and Sustainable Chemistry to be held in Madrid, Spain, from 28th to 30th of September 2026. The spirit of the Organizing Committee of this International Symposium is to organize an encounter between scientists and industrialists worldwide with interest in the technological aspects of application of catalysis to the Sustainable Development. This symposium will help to review the present state of the art of these technologies and to discuss the possible future directions of evolution, and of course, how they can revert positively in the development of the society.

About Madrid

Madrid is the vibrant capital of Spain, known for its rich history, lively culture, and stunning architecture. The city offers a unique blend of tradition and modernity — from the majestic Royal Palace and the historic Plaza Mayor to the modern skyscrapers of Cuatro Torres. Madrid is also famous for its world-class museums, such as the Prado, Reina Sofía, and Thyssen-Bornemisza, which attract art lovers from around the globe. Beyond its monuments, Madrid’s nightlife, tapas bars, and friendly atmosphere make it one of the most welcoming cities in Europe.

The Venue

Faculty of Medicine - Universidad Complutense de Madrid

The Faculty of Medicine of the Complutense University of Madrid was created on 8 July 1845. However, the Faculty of Medicine has much older origins, dating back to the medical studies that existed at the time of Cardinal Cisneros, in the late 15th or early 16th century, with 1496 being the most likely year of foundation. At that time, it was located in the city of Alcalá de Henares. The unique building is a site of cultural interest and is fully protected. The ‘Complutense spirit’ is of great importance to the Faculty of Medicine, permeating its way of being and, therefore, all its activities, driving it to look to the future, based on a history of more than five hundred years, and to progress constantly.
